1. RESPONSIVE 900CC HIGH TORQUE BONNEVILLE ENGINE

The iconic 900cc Bonneville twin has been beautifully evolved. Significant weight savings within the engine include a lighter crankshaft, clutch and balance shafts for reduced inertia. Revised ports and cam profile also help to give a better spread of torque with a peak power increase of 10PS, now making 65 PS at 7,400 rpm. The result is a more responsive engine that spins up faster and revs 500rpm higher, all while delivering that rich and characterful Bonneville sound.

The latest ride-by-wire throttle and advanced fuel injection system combine to deliver immediate responsiveness. Whether you’re leisurely short-shifting through the slick 5-speed gearbox and riding the rich torque, cruising in town, or enjoying the top-end power on a spirited country road blast, the perfect throttle response ensures exceptional rideability for safety and control.

Other technical advances have been made to meet Euro 5 emissions regulations, making this the cleanest T100 to date. Such precision engineering means the first major service isn’t due until a high 10,000 miles (16,000km), adding yet more value to this incredible package.

2. ENHANCED HANDLING

Weight reductions to the engine also become apparent in the T100’s light, neutral and agile handling. Well-balanced weight distribution and a low 790mm seat height make for confident low-speed manoeuvres and easy handling in town, qualities that translate into a dynamic and engaging ride on the open road.

Built for pure riding pleasure, the T100 is fitted with high quality suspension. 41mm cartridge front forks instil confidence with an assured, planted feel. Twin rear suspension units are tuned to cope with the demands of the ride whether it’s solo, pillion or fully loaded with luggage for a weekend away.

Higher specification Brembo front brakes deliver improved stopping power and enhanced lever feel. Michelin Road Classic tyres developed specifically for the Bonneville give high levels of grip and feel, in all conditions, for a reassuring, confidence-inspiring ride.

3. A2 LICENCE ACCESSIBILITY

The easy-handling T100 is perfect for A2 licence holders, courtesy of an Accessory fit conversion kit, making it possible for every rider to experience a genuine motorcycle legend.

When you have passed your test, the conversion kit can be easily removed by a Triumph dealer to reinstate full power.

The new Bonneville Speedmaster features Triumph’s critically-acclaimed 1200cc engine, with category-leading torque, signature Bobber tune that delivers peak torque of 106Nm at 4,000rpm – a massive 42% more than the 2015 Triumph Speedmaster and up to 10% more than the current Bonneville T120.

The twin airbox with twin filter design is packaged for optimised performance.  The bright chromed stainless steel exhaust system is twin skinned for a seamless exhaust header pipe run that beautifully hides the cat and finished with unique bright chrome silencers that deliver a distinctive rich and raw exhaust note.

Technical highlights include a four-valve, DOHC cylinder head and a crankshaft that has been perfectly weighted and balanced to optimise inertia for low-speed drivability. A finger-follower valvetrain with a low reciprocating mass and DLC coatings that reduce friction also contribute to this free-revving yet tractable engine’s incredible performance.

The six-speed gearbox delivers a light, precise gear selection with ratios perfectly spread to make the most of this exciting, characterful and torque-rich engine.

The Scrambler 400 X is loaded with technology designed to enhance every ride. This includes a torque-assist clutch; an ingenious system that reduces clutch lever effort to improve ease of use and rider comfort during stop/start riding, while also offering superb control and feel. The clutch has also been designed to prevent rear wheel skipping and locking during downshifts, combining safety with performance.

Lighting is all-LED for minimal maintenance with maximum functionality and added safety. The powerful headlight features a protective grille and a distinctive Daylight Running Light (DRL) and the rear light also features a modern light signature with moulded light guides and Triumph branding. Introducing for model year 2023, a new and exciting range of colour options. These new colours come hand-in-hand with a new name for our class-defining 900cc model. From model year 2023, the Street Scrambler is named Scrambler 900.

Part of the iconic Bonneville family, the Scrambler 900 features an authentic scrambler silhouette with clean lines and minimal bodywork. It’s beautifully evolved incorporating modern finishes with even more premium custom style and detailing.

There are three contemporary paint schemes. Premium touches include a side panel with aluminium number-board featuring an embossed logo for a distinctive rugged Scrambler style, throttle body finishers and brushed aluminium headlight brackets, enhancing the stripped back custom scrambler styling.

The 900cc high-torque engine offers thrilling torque-rich Bonneville performance, with 65 PS of peak power at 7,250rpm and 80 Nm peak torque at 3,250rpm. It delivers thrilling power and torque across the rev range for strong acceleration exactly when you need it.

The liquid-cooled, latest generation Bonneville twin cylinder engine retains its power, character and responsiveness and is now cleaner and more efficient, meeting Euro 5 requirements, with lower emissions and excellent fuel efficiency.

You also get the exciting scrambler soundtrack you’d expect – the compact high level exhaust system delivers a unique scrambler exhaust note that matches its distinctive character, combined with the unmistakeable sound of a British twin.

The high specification Brembo 4-piston front brake caliper provides excellent stopping power with great bite and feel, providing better rider control. The long travel cartridge front forks are finished with traditional rubber gaiters while the preload adjustable twin shocks feature grey springs and black shrouds and deliver 120mm rear wheel travel for a comfortable ride on any terrain.

Ride by wire throttle control ensures a responsive feel and provides great rideability, safety and control from a single throttle body. These features combine to give intuitive confidence-inspiring handling and underline the Scrambler 900’s dual capabilities.

Improved rider ergonomics ensure that the Scrambler 900 is accessible for every rider. The dedicated chassis set-up provides a unique frame, wide aluminium handlebars and mid-position pegs. Combined with long travel front and rear suspension and a large 19” front wheel, it delivers a commanding riding position for urban roads plus greater capability on unsurfaced roads and trails. Comfortable “stand-over” ergonomics allow for feet flat on the floor manoeuvrability, providing confidence-inspiring handling and everyday comfort, while the accessible low seat height allows maximum confidence and control for all riders.

A dealer-fitted A2 licence kit option is available, which incorporates an APS twist grip and engine tune, making the Scrambler 900 accessible and fun for all riders. The kit can easily be removed to return the bike back to full power.

The Scrambler 900 also comes with a 2 year, unlimited mileage warranty and a high 10,000 mile / 16,000 km service interval.

Advanced rider-focused technology ensures you can optimise your ride to suit your needs. Choose from three riding modes – road, rain or off-road – accessed via the mode selection button in the left hand switch cube. Road and rain modes adjust throttle map and traction control while off-road mode turns off ABS and traction control to give you better feel on loose surfaces.

Switchable ABS and switchable traction control are fitted as standard, to manage torque when traction is compromised, reflecting the bike’s dual-purpose capability. The torque-assist clutch is optimised for light and easy operation for more comfort over long journeys and in heavy traffic.
There’s also a distinctive and power efficient LED rear light, key-fob incorporated immobiliser, and a USB charging socket located under the seat for convenient gadget charging.

The Scrambler 900’s 19” front and 17” rear wire spoked wheels with a blacked-out finish on the hubs and rims add to the commanding riding position and signature silhouette. High specification dual purpose Metzeler Tourance tyres provide maximum mileage on urban roads and great traction on light off-road surfaces, ensuring grip, durability and precise handling in all conditions.
