Overview
At the heart of the MT-07 Y-AMT is Yamaha’s renowned 690cc CP2 parallel-twin engine. Its crossplane crankshaft design delivers strong low- and mid-range torque, smooth power delivery and the distinctive soundtrack that has made the MT-07 a favourite among riders worldwide.
Y-AMT transforms the riding experience by removing the conventional clutch lever and gear pedal. Riders can shift manually using the handlebar-mounted controls or select fully automatic operation, making the motorcycle easy to use in traffic while retaining an engaging manual mode for more spirited riding.
The latest MT-07 also benefits from electronic throttle control, Yamaha Ride Control, switchable traction control, cruise control, 41 mm upside-down forks, radial front brake calipers and lightweight SpinForged wheels. A full-colour 5-inch TFT display provides smartphone connectivity and Garmin StreetCross navigation.
