The Yamaha MT-09 is the benchmark Hyper Naked motorcycle, combining explosive CP3 performance, lightweight agility and cutting-edge electronics in a package designed to thrill. Powered by Yamaha’s legendary three-cylinder engine and packed with MotoGP-derived technology, the MT-09 continues to set the standard for middleweight naked motorcycles.
Overview
The latest Yamaha MT-09 is powered by the acclaimed 890cc CP3 engine, producing 119 PS and 93 Nm of torque. The crossplane crankshaft design provides exceptional low- and mid-range drive together with an addictive intake roar and smooth power delivery throughout the rev range.
A lightweight aluminium Deltabox frame, fully adjustable KYB suspension and Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S23 tyres provide exceptional agility and confidence. The revised riding position moves the rider further forward for greater feedback and improved control.
Technology is equally impressive. A six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit controls lean-sensitive Traction Control, Slide Control, Lift Control, Brake Control and Back Slip Regulator. Yamaha Ride Control offers SPORT, STREET and RAIN riding modes together with two fully customisable rider modes.
The MT-09 also features cruise control, a third-generation Quick Shift System, Smart Key-ready electronics, self-cancelling indicators, Emergency Stop Signal, a 5-inch TFT display with Yamaha MyRide smartphone connectivity and Garmin StreetCross navigation compatibility.
